We have different types of deals on the GetEquity platform;
- • Debt instruments (Commercial papers, debt funds)
- • Fixed Income (Treasury bills, mutual funds)
- • Equity (Private equity deals)
Commercial papers (CPs) are short-term, unsecured debt instruments issued by corporations to raise funds quickly and efficiently. Typically, these are used for financing short-term liabilities like payroll, accounts payable, and inventory. CPs are a popular option for businesses due to their lower interest rates compared to traditional loans.
1. To invest, log into your account.
2. Browse the 'What people are investing in' section.
3. Select the commercial paper you are interested in.
4. Follow the prompts to complete your subscription.
Mutual funds are investment vehicles that pool money from multiple investors to purchase a diversified portfolio of stocks, bonds, or other securities. Managed by professional portfolio managers, mutual funds provide investors with an opportunity to invest in a variety of asset classes without needing to select individual securities themselves.
Treasury Bills, or T-Bills, are short-term government securities issued by the government to finance its debt. They are sold at a discount to their face value and redeemed at full face value upon maturity, with the difference representing the investor’s return.
Private equity refers to investment funds, typically organized as limited partnerships, that buy and restructure companies that are not publicly traded. These investments are usually made by private equity firms, venture capital firms, or angel investors, aiming to acquire equity ownership in companies.
Tokens on GetEquity represent ownership or stake in a particular investment. When you invest in a startup or other asset, you receive tokens corresponding to your investment amount. These tokens can be held, transferred, or sold on the secondary market, subject to availability of buyers.
To sell your tokens, list them for sale on our platform by navigating to the "Sell Tokens" section in your account. Enter the number of tokens you wish to sell and set your asking price. Please note that the sale will be completed only if there is a buyer willing to purchase your tokens at the listed price.
If you cannot find a buyer for your tokens, it means there is currently no demand for them at your asking price. We recommend adjusting your price or waiting for market conditions to change. Our platform connects buyers and sellers, and transactions depend on mutual agreement on price.
